I worked for 2 weeks on the oil storage tank farm in Astana, Kazakhstan, where I had a chance to fortify and learn many things linked with my existing knowledge I gained in the university as well as understand more about things like cash flow and documentational record. I learned about the work of operators, safety systems, operation processes and monthly calibration procedure of the measuring equipment inside the tanks. I was mentored by the main technician who was explaining and teaching me the basics of his work and work of other employees that he was responsible for.

By the moment, I have finished the third stage in Newcastle University, BEng Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials. I have attained second upper class Honours degree in 2019.
During my final year I was working as part of a group on a project that helped me to obtain and develop core skills necessary for chemical engineers. Throughout the research work I fortified the knowledge of process selection, conceptual design, equipment design, process safety and sustainability and economic analysis. This is applied to a typical client specification and requires to be innovative in suggesting a design solution.
As a result of completing the design project I have learned how to:
- Develop an integrated approach to Chemical Engineering
- Apply chemical engineering principles to a problem of industrial relevance
- Design equipment to deliver a process objective which satisfies a given specification
- Critically analyze design aspects of a given operational/design problem
- Consider the safety, sustainability and environmental issues of the process they are designing
- Integrate all the elements of the design into a safe sustainable and economically feasible processing system.
- Working in a group to meet deadlines and deliver a multi-faceted project also taught me how to apply numerical and computer skills to design problems, to be able to sell the chosen design to engineers from the chemical industry via oral presentation; as well as I enhanced my report writing and communication skills.
