Safety Specialist’s main responsibility is to inspect work location and maintain safe work environment through HES programs, policies, walkabouts and active engagement in routine works. Safety Specialist must have appropriate background or respective skills and experience to analyze types of work environments, equipment utilized, procedures and documentations. He shall inspect, coordinate and audit workplaces and personnel for compliance with COMPANY and RoK standards and regulations.
Check safety aspects of all jobs performed.
Check work instructions and procedures for compliance with COMPANY and RoK requirements.
Evaluate work program, activities to identify potential safety hazards or violations
Participate in job planning and consult on HES matters.
Participate in job execution as WRP (Work Responsible Person).
Fill out safety journals and Permit to Work.
Fill out Job Safety Analysis and Planning Phase Hazard Assessment forms.
Conduct incident or accident investigation.
Understanding of preservation jobs performed by CONTRACTOR.
Understanding of tools and equipment utilized during works.
Of all chemicals to be utilized in preservation process, correct ways of using and associated hazards.
Of hazards and safe work practices associated with working at height, elevated work areas, confined spaces, and personal preservation equipment.
Of hazards and safe work practices and procedures associated with assigned work including but not limited to; Lockout-Tagout, Confined spaces, Emergency Action Plans, Safe Work Permits, Incident Reporting, and Hazard Identification Procedures.
Of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is needed for a specifics job.
Complete all required training, including courses and tests, within Company guidelines.
Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Good communication skills.
Proper e-mail communication in Russian and English.
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal instructions, work independently and take initiative.
Understanding technical and HES related documentation.
Experience in the use of various type of fire extinguishers.
Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
Good Hazard identification skills.
Demonstrated skill at performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
