The South African Embassy in Astana invites applications from qualified, high-calibre individuals for the position of Senior Domestic Worker. Operating from the Ambassador’s Official Residence, this dual-responsibility role requires an exceptional individual to manage high-profile culinary operations, formal diplomatic hospitality, and meticulous housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Preparation: Plan, prepare, and execute daily meals and formal multi-course dinners for the Ambassador, family, and high-level diplomatic guests.
Home Governance: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and organisation; ensure deep cleaning of cooking surfaces, utensils, and appliances daily.
Cleaning: Execute flawless cleaning of all living areas, reception rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, shelves, and cupboards.
Provide comprehensive laundry services, including sorting, washing, stain treating, and precise ironing of delicate fabrics, formal wear, and linens.
4. Diplomatic Protocol & Hospitality
Guest Relations: Serve the Ambassador’s family, dignitaries, and international VIPs with the highest level of politeness, discretion, and formal etiquette hosted at the residence.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: An appropriate background of schooling, hospitality, or housekeeping management.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience.
Language Proficiency: A workable knowledge of spoken English.
Mandatory Application Requirements
A fully completed, official Z83 Application Form (written strictly in English).
A valid, recent Medical Certificate confirming physical fitness for duties.
An updated CV highlighting relevant work and hospitality experience.
